Now you can open your eyes or let it slip away,
Are you still dreaming of your yesterday
Or what you still have to say,

The night is young for everybody else,
They say it’s something you should want,
As if violence or tragedy could ever get you off,

Now the night is frozen and I can’t feel my arms,
Wrapped around the empty spaces in which there’s no telling right from wrong.

I’ll survive by running fast away from the light,
In your eyes, in your eyes, I’ve seen the darkest skies,
And when you’ve lost all sight of what you’re leaving behind,

They’re telling me to walk away,
But there’s this ghost of passing judgement telling me that I should stay,

Is this my punishment?

These bad habits, I can’t shake them,
They’re leaving me for dead, I hate them.
